Are you thinking about changing to a different wallet from MetaMask?
If so, I've done some research and compiled a list of ten alternatives that you might want to consider.
I also recently made a thread detailing MetaMask alternatives, which you can find here.
If you're looking for other options because you're not satisfied with using MetaMask as your cryptocurrency wallet, then check out the list I've put together.
- BlockWallet is a privacy-focused wallet that claims to be like a VPN for Web3, protecting your personal data from node providers.
- TrustWallet is a popular mobile wallet that was recently acquired by Binance and has launched a bug bounty for their new browser extension.
- xDefi is a wallet that was recently recommended to me by Erik Voorhees, a respected figure in the DeFi community. While it is currently not open source, they plan to be next year.
- 0xFrame is another privacy-focused wallet that runs natively on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
- Frontier is a browser extension wallet currently in beta.
- Rainbow is another wallet that has been mentioned in the MetaMask replacement narrative.
- Rabby is a new wallet to me, but its UI/UX looks great and it is multichain native.
- Zerion is a multichain native wallet that allows users to manage their DeFi and NFT portfolios and trade across multiple networks.
- Brave is a classic alternative to MetaMask that has always emphasized trust and privacy.
- Coinbase Wallet has a clean UI/UX and is part of the well-known cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.
It's important to remember that, in addition to considering privacy-focused wallets, it's also a good idea to use a hardware wallet and not store all of your funds in a hot wallet for added security.
